    The film is the debut of Waheeda Rehman in the film industry. Rojulu Marayi was released on 14 April 1955. The film ran for over 25 weeks in theatres, thereby becoming a silver jubilee film, and was remade in Tamil as Kaalam Maari Pochi (1956). Rojulu Marayi is considered as a milestone among social films in Telugu cinema.
    On the whole, Rojulu Marayi is a contemporary take on how girls in today’s society are. The film has all that you can expect in a Maruthi brand film. Double meaning dialogues, comedy, female bashing and a very interesting first half which keeps things entertaining.
    Rojulu Marayi: Directed by Tapi Chanakya. With Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Sowcar Janaki, Seeta Rama Anjaneyulu Chilakalapudi, Relangi Venkatramaiah. A landlord cheats people in a village and grabs their lands. A young man reveals the landlord's true colors before everyone. So he creates differences between the young man and his wife.
    However, the Telugu film Rojulu Marayi (1955) released prior to that; where she again performed to in a dance. The same year, she also played the lead role opposite N. T. Rama Rao in the film Jayasimha. Subsequently, her cameo appearance in Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum released in 1956.
