    Nicholas Roerich ( / ˈrɛrɪk /; October 9, 1874 – December 13, 1947) – also known as Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerikh (Russian: Никола́й Константи́нович Ре́рих) – was a Russian painter, writer, archaeologist and theosophist.
