    Jyoti Prakash Dutta (born 3 October 1949) is an Indian Bollywood film producer, writer and director, best known for making patriotic action war films. Dutta is married to the Bollywood film actress Bindiya Goswami with whom he has two daughters Nidhi and Siddhi. Dutta produces his films under the banner of JP Films.

    His brother, Deepak Dutta, was a squadron leader in the Indian Air Force who died on duty. Dutta’s first film ‘Sarhad’ starring Vinod Khanna, which was not released, was a tribute to him. He met Bindiya Goswami at the set of his first film ‘Sarhad’ in 1976.
